Through our micro-credential certification system, we support professionals in acquiring the essential deep-tech, green, and digital skills needed to transform the welding and material joining industry for a safer and more circular future.
The DEEPWELD certification is designed for HEI learners, VET learners (both secondary/high school and tertiary), and current employees working in companies engaged in welding, especially those in the automotive and construction sectors. The training consists of courses aligned with EQF Level 5 and 6 and developed in line with EIT DTTI, ECTS/EQUIS, and ECVET/EQAVET quality standards.
Upon successful completion of the course and final assessment, learners will receive a DEEPWELD Micro-Credential Certificate via EUROPASS. This certificate:
We offer two distinct training programs to meet the needs of both practitioners and educators in the CMW field.
This program focuses on developing the practical skills for deep-tech enabled circular material welding.
Course Section | Key Focus Areas |
Section 1 | Advanced material joining/welding in a deep-tech enabled circular economy. Focuses on leveraging recycled materials for high-quality, sustainable manufacturing. |
Section 2 | Innovative deep-tech enabled welding methods such as GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW. Covers advanced techniques for improved weld quality, efficiency, and adaptability. |
Section 3 | Human-machine interaction in welding through automation, assistive technologies and automated AI-powered quality assurance. Enhances precision, safety, and inclusion, creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities. |
Section 4 | Environmental assessment and hazardous impact reduction. Addresses reducing carbon emissions, optimizing energy use, and complying with regulations like CBAM and ISO 14001. |
Section 4 Horizontal Component | Entrepreneurialism and innovation in CMW work-based learning and practice. Develops EntreComp competences, focusing on solving industrial challenges and pitching innovative ideas. |
This toolkit is designed to support industrial, VET, and HEI trainers in teaching CMW inclusively using a work-based learning approach. The goal is to train and certify 100 trainers.
Trainer Toolkit Section | Focus & Lead Partner |
Section 1 | Hybrid teaching factories & work based learning in material joining. |
Section 2 | Human-machine interaction & inclusion training (assistive technologies) for supporting people with disabilities upskill and work in CMW. |
